The Word Made Flesh

My tattoo is from Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, one of my favorite books. “I am no bird; and no net ensnares me: I am a free human being with an independent will, which I now exert to leave you.”
The tattoo means a lot to me because I feel like I really connect with Jane more so than any other literary character, and as soon as I saw that quote, I knew I would put it on my body someday.- Marissa
