The Word Made Flesh
From the opening scene of Shakespeare’s Macbeth.Reading Macbeth in the final year of my undergraduate work helped solidify my desire to pursue a graduate degree in English. I am now working on my masters degree with the ultimate goal of getting a PhD and becoming a professor. I also got this tattoo as a way of reminding myself that things are not always what they seem. I’ve frequently found that the things I think are the worst turn out alright, and things that I think are good can often turn sour. I wanted this tattoo so that I could always look down and remember that things aren’t always what they seem.
